James Martin sparks concerns just days after saying he was taking a break

James Martin being taken aback by a guest’s unusual way of cooking

James Martin has left some of his fans concerned after he appeared to return to work just weeks after announcing that he was “taking a break” due to health reasons.

The TV chef confirmed earlier this month that he would be taking time off to undergo facial cancer treatment.

The 51-year-old has just finished a tour where he visited 20 cities and towns across the UK, finishing on November 12 at the iconic London Palladium.

However, it seems that James is already back on set after posting a series of photos of a kitchen table, various plates of food, a pint of beer and a Saturday Morning Kitchen prompt card.

He captioned the Instagram post: “We’re back! Full day filming @saturdayjamesmartin and to the local for one.”

This sparked concern with his 731,000 followers who are urging him to “take care of himself”.

One person replied in the comments: “I thought you were meant to be taking it easy, James sending love.”(sic)

A second typed: “Aren’t you meant to be taking it easy and sorting your health out Mr Martin?”

A third chimed in: “I thought you were supposed to be taking time off to get better James or are you still on a high after your amazing tour. Take care of yourself.”

A fourth commented: “Get yourself better, we will still be here once you’re fighting fit x.”

Earlier this month, the presenter took the opportunity during his Liverpool show to state that he’d be getting his cancer “sorted at the end of the month”.

“For me personally, I’ve been through a lot of s**t with cancer but I’m getting sorted at the end of next month,” he said.

“I will be back fighting at the end of February but I’m going on a little bit of a break to get that sorted.

“I just wanted to say thank you for all of your support and all your messages.”
