I’m A Celeb: Jamie Lynn kisses Sam Thompson after celebration
She faced intense backlash the last few years over her feud with her older sister, Britney Spears, but Jamie-Lynn Spears has been poised to try and make a comeback throughout 2023.
The former TV star had a big year, which included the release of a sequel film to her hit series Zoey 101, as well as appearances in three different reality competition programs.
However, though she has been working on making a name for herself again, it hasn’t come easily for her.
Zoey 102, which was released for streaming on Paramount+ , received mixed reviews.
Similarly, her stints on reality shows have all been brief.

The year started with Jamie-Lynn competing on the first season of FOX’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
However, she voluntarily withdrew from the competition during the third week, alongside Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin and Spice Girl Mel B.
At the time, she cited wanting to be with her kids, Maddie, 15, and Ivey, 5.
“It probably goes back to a lot of things. Not only do I just love [my kids] and want to be with them, but also being away from them like this, even just for myself, it makes me feel like a crap mom, you know? They didn’t ask for their mom to be gone.”
Then, in the Fall, she was announced to be competing on Season 32 of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars.
News of her casting was quickly met with backlash from Britney fans however, and her time on the show was short-lived.
She was eliminated on the second night of the competition, after scoring 15 points on a Tango and then 16 points on a Cha-Cha-Cha.
She then went to join ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

However, that show also saw her having a short-lived time participating, and she was confirmed to leave the show early on “medical grounds.”
“Jamie Lynn Spears has left ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ on medical grounds,” a show spokesperson said.
“She’s been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities,” the statement continued.
