The Jesus And Mary Chain Announce New Album 'Glasgow Eyes'

The Jesus And Mary Chain have announced a new album, Glasgow Eyes. The Scottish alternative rock duo also shared new single “jamcod.”

Glasgow Eyes will drop on March 8th via Fuzz Club. The album will commemorate the 40th anniversary of the duo, comprised of brothers Jim and William Reid.

The album announcement arrives alongside news of The Jesus and Mary Chain’s upcoming 2024 Europe an U.K. headlining tour.

“Our creative approach is remarkably the same as it was in 1984, just hit the studio and see what happens,” Jim said about the album. “There’s a telepathy there — we are those weird not-quite twins that finish each other’s sentences. Of course, as one could expect from the highly experimental duo, there will still be plenty of new influences on Glasgow Eyes. This time around, the brothers’ newfound penchant for jazz can be seen at play.”

Meanwhile, The Jesus and Mary Chain’s 2024 tour will kick off on March 22 in Manchester. The 22-stop trek will feature stops across Berlin, London, Paris, Stockholm, and more before wrapping up on April 24 in Hague, Netherlands.

Pre-sale tickets will be available to any fans who have pre-ordered the album via themarychain.com beginning today at 6:00 a.m. ET ahead of the general on-sale on Friday, December 1st via Ticketmaster.
