Jamie Oliver looks more loved-up than ever as he renews his wedding vows with wife Jools in the Maldives alongside their five children

Jamie Oliver has renewed his wedding vows with wife Jools, 23 years after tying the knot.

The pair, who have been together since the age of 18, share five kids together, including Poppy Honey, 20, Daisy Boo, 19, Petal Blossom, 13, Buddy Bear, 11 and River Rocket, five.

The celebrity chef, 47, shared an intimate carousel of family snaps to Instagram, after saying ‘I do’ for a second time in the Maldives.

For the special occasion, Jamie looked dapper in a blue blazer and matching trousers, teamed with a crisp white shirt and a lapel flower.

Jools, 48, looked elegant in an off-the-shoulder wedding dress, complete with a ruffled design and a thigh-high slit.

Her brunette locks were styled straight with a white bow holding her hair in place, while she accessorised with pearl drop earrings.

She opted for a bronzed makeup palette which accentuated her natural features, teamed with a swipe of nude lipstick.

Alongside the photos, Jamie penned: ‘Morning all, Me & @joolsoliver got married again! Yep After 23 years together, we thought it would be a special moment to celebrate renewing our wedding vows before the kids all start leaving the nest.

‘It was really special, funny and romantic with the words in the ceremony making more sense having come this far together.

‘It seems like a blink since the first wedding which we kept very privet apart from the paparazzi at the village church we thought it would be a happy and joyful moment to share with you all this Easter.

‘We’ve always dreamed of going to the Maldives and it was just as you would have dreamed, simply amazing ! a massive thank you to all the team at @discoversoneva for blowing our minds and making this moment so special and memorable big love guys Jamie x’

Jools and Jamie first began dating when they were teenagers and tied the knot in the chef’s home village of Rickling, Essex, on June 24, 2000.

Speaking in 2019 about renewing their vows, Jools said: ‘Next year, we’ll have been married 20 years, and we’re going to get married again, but do things differently – outside and barefoot.

Looking back on their first trip down the aisle, she recalled: ‘Our first dance was to Dusty Springfield’s I Only Want To Be With You, but Jamie doesn’t like dancing, so I threw him off. I was in my element!’

Chef Jamie, who hails from Essex, reportedly has a net worth over £240million.

He recently insisted the humiliating collapse of his Italian restaurant chain, which saw 1,000 people losing their jobs, was just a ‘minor blip’.

The TV cook’s comment comes as he revealed he was making a return to the restaurant game, opening a new food delivery chain, and insisting: ‘We will go again.’

Jamie’s Italian went bust in May 2019 after profits plunged and customers stayed away, with 22 outlets closing and about 1,000 jobs axed.

The spectacular downfall of Jamie’s business empire left the Italian food company owing around £83 million.

Speaking on Friday about the crushing collapse of his beloved restaurant chain, the TV personality said: ‘It happens, and I would call it a minor blip really, in the vision and the dream. A very painful one. But definitely, I’m better for it.

‘We had 13 amazing years and learned loads. I was a young man when I started, I’m much older and wiser now.’

Asked whether or not he had learned from the closure of his Italian restaurant chain, he said: ‘Yeah, for sure, and every other failure that I’ve had – which is about 50 per cent. But I’ve never been more rounded, I’ve never been more experienced.’

But Oliver hopes to cook up a storm with his latest venture, Pasta Dreams.

Starting with two pop-up spaces – in London’s Soho and Paris – he aims to roll the service out across London and other UK cities at a rate of two sites a month.

And the chef added he has hopes of reviving his collection of restaurants, too.

‘We’re really well positioned to go again, and we will go again, and I will go back to restaurants again, as soon as I can,’ he said.

‘It’s in my blood, it’s really all I know. It was never a size problem, it was rent and rates that got us really, and high street decline.’
