Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have officially filed for divorce after four years of marriage, TMZ reports. 

The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, have been reportedly on the outs over the course of the past year, with work commitments making it difficult. 

According to TMZ, who broke the story, Jonas, has now officially employed divorce lawyers and has filed the legal paperwork in Florida to end the marriage. 

The site claims Joe is requesting joint custody of the pair’s two children – daughter Willa, three, and their one-year-old son. 

It’s also believed the couple had a pre-nuptial agreement in place as well. 

Daily Express US has contacted Joe and Sophie’s representatives for comment and clarification. 

Reports the pair were on the outs first surfaced across the past weekend, with TMZ stating Joe had been ‘shopping around’ for lawyers with a split imminent. 

This comes after the couple put their shared Miami home up for sale.

A source claimed to the site that Joe, 34, and Sophie, 29, had developed ‘completely different lifestyles’ with Joe preferring to stay at home while Sophie enjoyed partying. 

It also alleges that due to Sophie’s work commitments in the UK, Joe has been largely looking after their two children, even while on tour with The Jonas Brothers. 

However, it appeared that both Joe and Sophie were putting on a united front in the immediate aftermath of the news breaking. 

Joe noticeably wore his wedding ring onstage, despite oftentimes performing without it, and performed Hesistate – a track he has acknowledged was a love letter and a ‘promise’ to Sophie. 

While performing at the concert on Sunday, Sophie was reportedly in the audience watching the show. 

Joe later posted a photograph from backstage where he was clearly seen wearing the plain band on his wedding finger.
