Joey Essex has teased a new romance with his Dancing on Ice partner Vanessa Bauer, gushing: “She’s beautiful”.
The former TOWIE star, 32, has been paired with skating professional Vanessa, 26, for this year’s series of the legendary ITV show which starts on Sunday.
Since being matched together in November, the pair have been almost inseparable with an insider previously saying that they are ‘both super flirty’.
In an interview with The Sun, the loveable TV star admitted that he loves waking up in the morning knowing he is going to be spending the day with Vanessa, adding: “She’s a lovely girl, she’s beautiful inside and out and we do get on really well.”
He also said he would struggle to be paired up with the gorgeous German skating champion if he was a married man, quipping "luckily I don’t have a ring on my finger yet."
He explained that he so-called ‘curse’ is a real-thing because: “You’re close and you are touching each other’s legs…and everywhere else. You are very intimate and it can happen.”
Earlier this week Vanessa also confessed that she understands why her dance partners' girlfriends worry.
The 24-year-old has previously hit the headlines after several of the celebrities that she's been coupled up with have called time on their real relationships after getting on the ice with her.
Back in 2018, X Factor star Jake Quickenden, 32, broke up with 27 year old Danielle Fogarty less than a month in and the following year, Love Island star Wes Nelson, 22, and blonde bombshell Megan Barton Hanson, 26, called it quits on their relationship while the show was still airing.
Joey is one of the 11 celebrities taking to the ice on Sunday to compete for the trophy and impress skating royalty Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean with their new skills.
The line up includes EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and former footballer John Fashanu.
The star-studded cast also includes The Wanted singer Siva Kaneswaran, The Only Way is Essex star Joey Essex, Coronation Street actress Mollie Gallagher and RuPaul's Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne.
The same panel will be returning to judge the celebrities, with two-time Strictly winner Oti Mabuse sitting beside BGT-winning Diversity leader Ashley Banjo and Torvill and Dean.
