Former TOWIE star Kate Ferdinand has announced that she and former footballer husband Rio Ferdinand are expecting their second child together, just six months after they shared the tragic news of their miscarriage.
Sharing a clip to her Instagram page Kate showed off her baby bump, and penned the caption: "We’ve been praying for you …"
Fans of the couple and their celeb pals were quick to congratulate the expectant parents, with former Love Islander Montana Brown writing: "Stop this is amazing! Congratulations."
And Kate's former TOWIE co-star Georgia Kousoulou commented: "Awww so so happy for you" while Mrs Hinch added: "Congratulations how amazing."
Fans also wished the couple well, with one writing: "Ah that’s such amazing news for you, Rio and the children" and second commented: "You deserve this and more darling."
And a third shared that Kate's pregnancy announcement gave them hope, writing: "Congratulations. This gives me so much hope. I lost my baby around the same time as you in the same way last year. This gives me hope."
Last year Kate opened up about how she had suffered a devasting miscarriage and had to have surgery following her following her 12 week scan.
Taking to Instagram at the time she shared a a black and white image of herself in a hospital gown.
She wrote: "The last time I was in this hospital I was having Cree, but this time it was because our baby had no heartbeat in our 12 week scan and I had to have surgery," followed by a heartbroken emoji.
We were so excited & planning a space for our new baby in our family, we just couldn’t wait to share our news with you all, but unfortunately sometimes life just doesn’t go as we plan.
"So much to say, but somehow I can’t find the words. Absolutely devastated & heartbroken …but couldn’t be more grateful for the hugs I got from my big(er) babies coming through the door when we arrived home," with a broken heart emoji and a praying hands emoji.
Rio and Kate married back in 2019 in a beautiful beach ceremony in Marmaris, Turkey, after three years of dating.
Kate became the stepmum of Rio's three children Lorenz, 16, Tate, 13, and Tia, 11, who he shared with his late wife Rebecca Ellison, who passed away in 2015 after a short battle with breast cancer.
In December 2020, Kate and Rio welcomed their first child together, Cree.
