Khloe Kardashian discovered her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson fathered a child with Maralee Nichols after the conception of their second child via surrogate. She learned the fitness model fell pregnant while she and Tristin were still an item.
Maralee, 31, is said to have conceived her six-month-old son Theo with NBA star Tristan on his 30th birthday in March last year, just hours after he professed his love for Khloe on her Instagram. But fans were quick to point out that Nichols' pregnancy preceded the date the gestational carrier was inseminated.
Confirming the news of Khloé and Tristan’s second child on Wednesday, a representative for Khloé told the Mirror: "We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November.
"Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloé can focus on her family."
A source went on to tell the publication: "The baby was conceived via surrogate before it was revealed to Khloé and the public that Tristan was having a baby with someone else in December."
Khloe and Tristan had been attempting to rekindle their six-year on-and-off romance when the news broke that Tristan fathered a baby son. And the difficult moment in Khloé’s life was documented on the family’s hit show, which sawthe mum-of-one faint as a result of his actions.
After paternity test results, Tristan confirmed that he was the father of the little boy – who was born in December 2021 – and issued an apology to Khloe.
Writing in an Instagram story, Tristan said: "Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols.
"I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son."
He then added: "I sincerely apologize to everyone I've hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately."
In another post, Tristan spoke directly to his ex-girlfriend Khloe as he wrote: "Khloe, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you.
"You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not loved up with the way I view you.
"I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."
In light of Tristan’s infidelity, Khloé called time on their relationship once again.
Khloe previously revealed that she felt 'numb' after her older sister Kim Kardashian broke the agonising news to her about Tristan's secret love child.
“That was hard,” she told USA Today. “I think the first time [Tristan cheated] it was either Kendall or Kylie that called me. Now it's good old Kim.”
Khloe and Tristan already share four year old daughter True, who will soon have a sibling.
The baby news comes after Khloérecently celebrated her 38th birthdaywhich saw the star and her family enjoy a booze-filled lunch at mumKris Jenner’s incredible £16m Hidden Hills mansion.
Despite the star's failed relationship with Tristan, she continues to live life to the fullest while showing off her recent weight loss in a Barbie-like pink outfit.
