King Charles' final note to his mother Her Majesty the Queen has been revealed as it was placed upon the late monarch's coffin.
Alongside a beautiful wreath of flowers, a note penned by the King was attached that appeared to read: "In loving and devoted memory – Charles R."
The love Charles had for it his mother was evident, with the him often referring to his mother as sweet names – calling her 'Mama' in his sombre first speech as monarch.
“I speak to you today with feelings of profound sorrow. Throughout her life, Her Majesty The Queen – my beloved Mother – was an inspiration and example to me and to all my family, and we owe her the most heartfelt debt any family can owe to their mother; for her love, affection, guidance, understanding and example," he said.

“Queen Elizabeth was a life well lived; a promise with destiny kept and she is mourned most deeply in her passing. That promise of lifelong service I renew to you all today."
King Charles went on to conclude his speech: "To my darling Mama, as you begin your last great journey to join my dear late Papa, I want simply to say this: thank you.
“Thank you for your love and devotion to our family and to the family of nations you have served so diligently all these years."

As per the Royal Family's Twitter, it was King Charles III who picked out his mother's wreath for today.
"At The King's request, the wreath contains foliage of Rosemary, English Oak and Myrtle (cut from a plant grown from Myrtle in The Queen's wedding bouquet) and flowers, in shades of gold, pink and deep burgundy, with touches of white, cut from the gardens of Royal Residences," it was said.
Royal fans were quick to gush over how stunning the floral display was, with one writing: "Such a beautiful wreath for a wonderful lady".
Another said: "It was so beautiful. When I saw it, I thought King Charles with his love of gardening and exquisite taste, chose that."
"They’re beautiful flowers," echoed a third, with someone else wrote: "Absolutely perfect. Made with and grown in love."
Others noticed Charles' note and branded his words as "heartbreaking".
Someone said: "Heartbreaking to see the handwritten card from The King resting on Her Majesty’s coffin".
