Getting married is good that this pair did it not once, not twice, but three times over.

First in a Las Vegas chapel complete with Elvis, second in a Santa Monica courthouse and thirdly across the pond and into Italy.

Love, lust and luxury was on the menu at the trio of weddings for KourtneyKardashian and Travis Barker, with each one more elaborate than the one prior.

It was the third and final wedding extravaganza, where the lovebirds married on 22 May on the Italian Riviera coastline of Portofino, that claimed the title for best wedding of 2022.

The reality star and Blink 182 drummer announced their engagement in October 2021 sending the world into a frenzy as a new legion of fans emerged, calling themselves the Kravis family.

Romantic Instagram posts and gushing public displays of affection ensued before the big day arrived.

And with the anniversary upon us, we take a look at some of the newer details to emerge from the Dolce & Gabbana wedding.

Personal footage from their new Hulu special series 'Til Death Do Us Part, reveals that although Kourtney, 43, wanted to marry in a church like the one featured in 1991 Guns 'n' Roses music video, November Rain.

Kourtney knew instantly. "We said to one another, this has to be our wedding. She was wearing a short dress and I thought to myself 'I need a short dress!'."

A lack of 'really specific documents' meant their dreams of marrying in Catholic church were thwarted – unless they enlisted onto a one-year Catholic course – which they also didn't have time to do.

Step forward designer friends Domenico Dolce of the exquisite Dolce & Gabbana to create a magical makeshift church on his very own Italian property.

Kourtney was brought up Christian and Travis, 47, raised as a catholic, so the ceremony had to have some sort of traditional element. They opted for an ancient monastery tour as part of their wedding holiday, too.

"We let some details go that I think people would be surprised with," Kourtney said at the time. Travis added that they really just "wanted to get married", not caring about the details, except that is had to feel "authentic."

Another big surprise was that their lavish location was chosen based on their future children's reactions, hinting that the pair aren't done yet with trying for a baby together.

"When we talk about our wedding to our kids, we're not going to be like 'Oh we just got married in Los Angeles or we just got married in the desert or San Francisco or Utah, it had to be Portofino. We want them to say that," said Travis passionately.

The pair have six children between them. Kourtney has Mason, 13, Penelope, 10, and Reign, eight, with ex-partner Scott Disick, and Travis has three with ex-wife Shannon Moakler; Landan, 19, Alabama, 17 and adopted daughter, Atiana De La Hoya, 24.

A luxurious gothic-inspired wedding needs incredible music so a helicopter was used to fly in special parts for a piano over several days, sister Kim made an emotional speech, brother Rob Kardashian didn't attend and makeup artist Leah Darcy revealed that Kourt's wedding makeup was kept "simple and timeless."

Kourt wore a custom made dress by the host designers, Dolce & Gabbana and changed later to another corset-style, but this time back lace with red roses. There was also a third outfit change complete with blue trimmed veil and the Virgin Mary in the middle.

The Portofino nuptials came after a whirlwind and drunken declaration of love in Vegas, followed by their second where they officially married in an intimate courthouse ceremony in Santa Barbara.

The first union was a surprise for family and friends when the pair romantically wed in a Las Vegas's infamous One Love Wedding Chapel straight after a night of partying at the 2022 Grammy Awards. They laughed afterwards that there was "way too much tequila" involved.
