Lauren Goodger might be loving every moment of motherhood, but as the star’s fans will know, life hasn’t come without its challenges.

Just weeks after welcoming daughter Larose with her now ex-boyfriend Charles Drury, Lauren fell pregnant with their second child. Tragically, she lost her daughter Lorena in July 2022 shortly after birth.

Then, just weeks later, Charles was charged with assaulting Lauren on the day of their baby’s funeral. Charles pleaded not guilty in July this year. The case was then adjourned ahead of a further pre-trial hearing in February 2024 and a trial starting in March.

Despite their bitter split, Lauren and Charles have continued to co-parent for the sake of two-year-old Larose. While rumours have swirled that the pair are back on after they were recently spotted together, Lauren insists they’re just “good friends”. However, she hasn’t ruled out a romantic reconciliation with Charles, 26, in the future – admitting that she’ll “always love him”.

For now, Lauren is focusing on being a mum to Larose, which she describes as the “most amazing and rewarding” job in the world. “I feel alive,” she says. “I don’t care about anything else.”

As we catch up with her at Magic Mike Live’s fifth anniversary in London, Lauren is enjoying a rare child-free night out – but it’s clear she’s missing her little girl.

“This is the first time I’ve been out or had a drink in six months,” she tells us. “I cannot wait to get home to Larose!”

Here, Lauren, 37, also opens up about dating apps, her dreams to have more children and her return to The Only Way Is Essex …

Hi, Lauren! How is life with Larose at the moment?

I am absolutely obsessed with her. She’s beautiful. When she wakes up in the morning, even if it’s 5am, I’m like, “Baby, kiss Mummy,” and she kisses me. She’s so affectionate and so clever. She’s not in nursery, but we do a lot of playgroups. I don’t have a nanny and have no help at all.

Is it hard being a single parent?

It’s the hardest job I’ve ever had in my life, but it is the most amazing and rewarding. I have wanted to be a mum since I was young. I’m very maternal.

Would you like to have more children?

I want to have more. And I want to get married. I want to be a housewife. I’m bored and I want to retire. I want a rich man and to move into a big house. I want to fill the house with kids and I just want to cook and clean. I need a man who is ready to have a wife at home and I just want loads of babies. I’m a very old-fashioned, traditional woman.

There was speculation you were getting back with Charles. What’s going on there?

We’re not together. We’re good friends and we’re co-parenting for Larose. We’re doing as much as we can together to keep her life normal and that is purely what it is. We get on and we’ve been through so much. I’ve got a lot of love for him because he is my kid’s dad, regardless of whatever happened. I’m trying to do the best I can for Larose, and she loves him. We take her away and do things as a family to keep it normal, but we’re not romantically together.

Would you ever get back with him?

Not right now. I don’t know what the future holds. I’ll always love him. You’ve got to understand what I’ve been through – there’s that trauma – so it’s hard to break away from someone. It’s so hard because it’s so wrapped around what happened. I want to get over it and heal, and I look at him as healing things.

Are you open to dating other people?

Yes, I’m single.

Are you on any dating apps?

Everyone tells me to get on Raya and a lot of my friends are on it. I’ve set up an account and it says my application is waiting. Do I really want to try dating apps? I don’t know.

Do you think it’s harder to meet people as you get older?

Yes, and I don’t go out any more. I just sit at home all the time.

Do you get famous men in your DMs?

Yes. Footballers, boxers and rappers – I get it all. [Mainly] premiership footballers and really wealthy rappers. But I can’t say who.

Could you see yourself with a rapper?

I think they suit me, but my life doesn’t suit them. I’m very chilled and at home. I’m not out. I was asked a few years ago to be in a music video for a massive rapper and he asked, “How much do you charge for the day?” And now I think I should have done it, but I didn’t.

You’re looking great at the moment…

I want to get really skinny. I’m bored with curves and a big arse – I’m over it. I have no idea what size I am right now. I’m currently wearing size 12 Zara trousers, but they stretch. I don’t know what size I want to go down to, it’s more about how I feel.

You’ve hinted you could be returning to TOWIE. Are there any plans for that?

Yes. I’m hoping to go back in February.

Would you bring Larose on the show?

Yes – and meet up with Amy Childs and go for lunch with the kids!
