Love Island fans have been left shocked that latest bombshell Adam Collard has appeared as the “most reasonable” in the villa following his past history on the show.

Adam, 26, first appeared as a bombshell in the 2018 series and caused quite a stir, as he was accused of “gaslighting” contestants.

It seems though that Adam has changed his ways following his return to Love Island and has acted quite respectfully, some would say, in his approach to the ladies in particular.

The men in the villa have been deemed the most “toxic” group ever to feature on Love Island, boosting Adam’s credibility, and his romance with Paige Thorne, 24, has fans thinking he’ll even win the show.

Many have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the Islander’s “reformed” behaviour. One fan wrote: “Not Adam being a reformed islander? The menace has become the mediator.”

Another questioned: “'Why is Adam collard the only reasonable guy in the villa this year?”

“How are the men in this villa so trash that ADAM COLLARD of Women’s Aid statement fame is the best man in there right now,” a third viewer tweeted.

Another wrote: “We are living in a world where ADAM COLLARD is the most respectful boy on love island”, as someone else added: “No because you know these boys are actual scum when Adam f*****g Collard is more of an angel than all of them put together.”

Adam was deeply criticised by viewers in 2018 for his behaviour towards ex partner in the villa Rosie Williams and even sparked concern from women’s abuse charity Women’s Aid following his stint on Love Island the first time.

During an explosive confrontation, in which Rosie attempted to confront Adam for making a move on Zara McDermott, he was seen smirking as Rosie was crying hysterically.

The personal trainer was labelled “a sociopath and narcissist” by fans as a result and the argument led Women’s Aid to release a statement in response, pointing out the warning signs of abuse against women, they believed were being portrayed by Adam.

Despite his condemned past behaviour, fans think Adam has made a change in his ways, at least onscreen, and the star has continued to garner support since returning to the villa.

Adam and Paige have been getting quite close following former partner Jacques O’Neill’s exit from the show, and there appears to be hope in their blossoming romance to develop.

Viewers can catch Love Island tonight as it airs on ITV2 at 9pm and later on ITV Hub.
