Love Island final date confirmed by host Maya Jama as fans predict winning couple

The date for the final of Love Island 2023 has been confirmed by its host, Maya Jama, and fans are already predicting the winning couple.

On Love Island's official Instagram page was a video of Maya, 28, who revealed that the big finale will take place on 13 March.

Speaking to the camera, Maya said: "It's going to be major. You don't want to miss it."

Fans of Love Island are already predicting their favourites to win the show, with Tom Clare and Samie Elishi, Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall, and Will Young and Jessie Wynter amongst the potentials.

The other couples still in the show are Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga, Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda, Casey O'Gorman and Rosie Seabrook, and Claudia Fogarty and Keanan Brand.

Fans flooded the comments section on the Love Island with their predictions for the winners, with Kai and Sanam seemingly a favourite couple for many, as their names cropped up numerous times.

One person commented: "Anyways Kai and Sanam for the win sha," whilst a second wrote: "At this point, Kai and Sanam," and a third said: "Kai and Sanam to win."

Others backed Will and Jessie, as one wrote: "Will and Jessie. Will is the only one who made me laugh the whole season," as another penned: "will and jessie they are going to last on outside not kai and sanam."

Someone else said: "Will & Jessie or Kai & Sanam for the win," whilst another predicted the top three, saying: "kai and sanam, jessie and will, and Ron and Lana will be in the top 3."

Others took aim at this year's show, as one branded it the "deadest love island this year".

Someone else said: "Poor maya having to host the worst season in loveisland history!"

Whilst another Love Island viewer commented: "Worse season for the books, hope Olivia gets dumped."

Fans of Love Island were thrilled when Maya Jama was announced as the new presenter, after previous host Laura Whitmore quit following the end of the summer show in August last year.

Of her new gig, an excited Maya said: “I’ve always been such a massive Love Island fan and I’m so excited to be hosting one of the nation’s favourite shows! I can’t wait to get into the Villa to meet all of the Islanders.”

Meanwhile, a teaser from Wednesday night's episode of Love Island sees Jessie Wynter confront fellow islander Olivia Hawkins as the pair embark on a row in the villa.

It comes after 23 year old Will Young was "fuming" to learn that some of the other islanders had been discussing whether Australian star Jessie was genuine or not and Olivia admitted to sharing her views with friend Lana.
