Love Island star embroiled in Chris Brown drama after he holds her by the throat on stage

Chris Brown has been criticised for inviting a Love Island star up onto the stage at one of his recent concerts and grabbing her by the throat.

The singer, 33, has been performing across the globe over recent months on his Under The Influence world tour, with dates in UK cities such as London, Glasgow and Manchester.

He performed three shows at Manchester's AO Arena recently, and during one concert he invited a female fan onto the stage as he sang hit track Take You Down – something he's been doing at most of his gigs on the tour.

The woman turned out to be former Love Island star Natalia Zoppa, who appeared on the winter edition of the ITV2 dating show in 2020.

Natalia, dressed in a black playsuit and knee high boots, could be seen sitting on a chair on the stage as Chris began singing the track and dancing seductively next to her.

He then proceeded to come up behind her and grab her by the neck, with Natalia appearing to look uncomfortable as she smiled at the crowd and looked ahead.

A clip of the moment was shared online, with many flocking to slam rapper Chris, who has a history of domestic violence, for his actions.

"This is so disturbing. A man with a history of DV, sitting a fan on stage, grabbing her around the neck then thrusting in her face," one person wrote on TikTok.

"This is so cringe," another added, while a third said: "why does he get away with touching a girl without consent tho".

It appears Chris has made the lap dance segment a staple to his tour performances, but he has come under fire recently for his actions after he threw a fan's phone into the crowd when she attempted to film the moment.

He invited a fan on stage in Berlin to serenade her, but when she continued to get her phone out to try and video the moment Chris became frustrated before grabbing the device and throwing it into the audience.

Clips of the controversial moment were shared online with the majority of social media users slamming the rapper for his behaviour.
