Love Island viewers have praised contestant Scott for ‘saying what we were all thinking’ after he got into an explosive fight with fellow islander Mitch on Tuesday evening.

The latest episode the Welshman, who is currently coupled up with Mitch's ex, Abi, brand his rival a ‘kn**head,' with many taking to social media to praise him.

It was another dramatic episode of the popular dating show, as for the first time ITV aired a brand-new award show known as the Grafties.

The brutal segment saw the public vote for certain islanders to win awards in a number of categories, including ‘Most Snakey Snitch, Mad Moves, and Best Head to Head.

And after Mitch scooped up the ‘Mad Moves’ award, his smug acceptance speech rubbed rival Scott up the wrong way, leading to yet another war of words between the two.

Accepting his award, Mitch cheekily said: “Mad Moves, we’ve all had them, mainly me in this villa, but I’m proud to get my second award tonight, guys; it means a lot.”

He then went on to apologise to Abi and Ella, saying: “Not the best award to have, I’d like to apologise to Abi and Ella. It’s not the man I am; I’m a better man now.

"Obviously, I've got this beautiful girl sitting at my table and bringing home the award.”

But it was Mitch asking the islanders if they had anything to add that caused a fight to break out.

“Anyone else want to add anything to the mad moves or? Forever hold your peace?

“Nah, that's what I thought,” he said smugly, before shushing everyone.

But this seemed to annoy Scott, who shouted over at Mitch, “'Has anyone ever told you you're a f****** kn**head?'.

Mitch, then furious at the insult, took a swipe at Scott and Abi's relationship, only for Scott to ask the fellow singletons, "Am I wrong?" before branding Mitch a 'kn**head' once more.

But many viewers shared their delight at the exchange, siding with Scott for calling out Mitch’s behaviour, with one person saying: “Thank you, Scott!!! …Mitch is such a d*** head!!'”

While a second wrote: "Thank you, Scott, for saying what we were all thinking. Mitch is an embarrassment with no shame; I've got all the entertainment I need out of him, but he himself is the joke and needs to go."

Another agreed, saying, “Best moment in Love Island THANK YOU SCOTT."

A fourth cheered on the Welshman, quipped:”'Gwaaan Scott."

Someone else commented: "Scott, thank you for saying what I have been thinking every episode, we love you."

But others were entertained by Mitch’s speech, with one saying: “Lowkey love messy Mitch.”

Another added: “I’m sorry, but Mitch is funny af.”
