Love Island’s Montana Brown announces she’s pregnant with her first child

Love Island star Montana Brown has announced that she and her boyfriend Mark O'Connor are expecting their first child.

Sharing a sweet video clip showing off her baby bump, and an ultrasound, to her Instagram page she wrote: "Baby O’Connor coming next summer"

Commenters were quick to share their well-wishes with fellow ex Love Islander Maura Higgins writing: "Congratulations" and a second commenter added: "This makes my heart melt so happy for you both."

While another dubbed the exciting announcement as "the best news ever."

Montana shot to fame on the popular ITV2 show in 2017 and lasted an impressive 50 days in the villa, but did not quite make it to the final.

Montana began dating real-estate executive turned rugby player Mark in 2020, with the relationship going public after the pair were spotted enjoying some quality time together in Barbados.

At the time, asource told Mail Online: "He played rugby for Chiswick and Wales 1st Teams as a prop, and has a proprietary interest in Forge Gym London. That's likely how he met Montana.

"He used to be out of shape and is now very much in shape. He's a very wild bloke to go on a night out with, drinks a lot. Very good fun to be with.

"His father owns a huge development/construction firm which he will inherit," the insider divulged.

Earlier this year Montana opened up about how life post-Love Island can be difficult, especially for those who may not find much success and have to return to their previous jobs.

Speaking to OK! she said: "Some people have such a different experience on Love Island. People go on the show and think, ‘I’m going to be famous. I’m going to be so successful.

"I’m never going to need to work ever again, and I’m going to have a really easy life posting pictures on Instagram,’ and, for a lot of people, that is the case.

"When they offer you help at the start you think, ‘I don’t need therapy, life’s amazing. I’m getting loads of jobs,’ but it’s only really when, for some people, when work starts teetering off [that things get a bit harder]."

She went on: “You forget that there’s only 15 or 20 people that go on Love Island each season, and not every single person can be successful from the show for it to last a lifetime.

"In terms of asking for help, it’s never normally needed instantaneously because you’re still riding the wave and you’re still on that buzz where you’re going to events all the time, doing things as a group, lots of ITV reunions and radio appearances.

"Everyone feels that buzz, but six months or a year after you’ve been on the show, people are having very, very different experiences."
