Tom Ellis warns fans about imposter social media accounts
Lucifer star Tom Ellis and his wife, Meaghan Oppenheimer, suffered a host of cruel messages hours after welcoming a baby girl vua surrogate.
The Miranda actor, 44, and his spouse, 37, were slammed by trolls for sharing snaps of their daughter.
On Wednesday Dolly Ellis-Oppenheimer was born with Tom taking to Instagram to share the news.
He posted an image to his 9.5 million followers a picture of himself, Meaghan and their first child.
The upload saw him and Meaghan cooing over the tiny tot – who was lying down in a hospital cot.

He penned in the caption: “Our daughter Dolly Ellis-Oppenheimer was born on November 8th and within five hours of being alive, she single-handedly ended the SAG strike. We love her. Huge thank you to our amazing surrogate.”
However, some were too busy criticizing the star’s post as opposed to congratulating the new parents.
One person wrote in the comments section: “Congratulations but u could’ve just blurred her body, I wouldn’t want my mom posting my body on social media when I was born.”(sic)
Another user pointed out: “Congrats but please protect ur daughters privacy.”(sic)

While a third commented: “She’s so cute but PLEASE cover her up.”
The post boasted over 11,500 comments from fans with many rushing to defend Tom.
One fan wrote: “Are yall really saying ‘protect her privacy’ I mean I get it but… it’s a baby. Like come on now.”(sic)
A second wrote: “Normal people looking at this photo – only see love filling our heart. I was even confused after reading some weird comments and now I’m even more confused….”
Tom is now a father of four since welcoming the new arrival – he shares daughters Florence, 15, and Marnie, 11, with ex-wife Tamzin Outhwaite, and also has a daughter named Nora, 18, from another previous relationship.
New wife Meaghan also took to the social networking site to share the news of her daughter.
She attached a cute snap of doting dad Tom carrying their newborn on his shoulder.
Family, friends and fans jumped to send their well-wishes, with Tom’s Lucifer co-star Rachael Harris writing: “Oh hello Dolly! We have been waiting for you!”
Canadian singer Alex Sampson wrote: “Congratulations Tom!! This is so beautiful”
Odette Annable penned: “Ohhh congrats!!”
Tom and Meaghan announced their engagement in 2018, and tied the knot the following year at the Grassini Family Winery in Santa Ynez Valley, California.
