MAFS’ Erica spills on upcoming reunion as Shona and Matt make debut as couple

MAFS: Jordan and Erica argue

MAFS UK bride Erica Roberts described the highly anticipated reunion of the 2023 cast as an “absolute nightmare” as she divulged all about meeting the stars months after the series wrapped.

Erica and her partner Jordan are one of the few couples who came out of the experiment still together, along with Peggy and Georges and Tasha and Paul.

While the pair are stronger than ever now, last week’s final dinner party saw them get into an explosive row after the personal trainer, 26, was accused of cheating.

Explaining how she felt going into the new reunion, Erica, 26, told Express.co.uk: “It was weird to be honest. The last reunion was so, just not great for Jordan and I after the cheating allegations came out.

“Because that was so awful and we had such a horrible time, we came into this one hoping that it was going to be a lot better. We wanted to just be ourselves, to show everyone that we are strong and how amazing we had been because that was kind of taken away from us.

“The first reunion we did, I thought we were amazing and the best we’d ever been and then all these allegations came out. Coming into the next reunion, I wasn’t letting anything get in the way.

“I just wanted to be happily drinking my prosecco and having a good time, but that never happens does it. This one has been an absolute nightmare as well; I wish I never went!”

Perhaps the biggest bombshell from this year’s series is that Shona Manderson and Matt Pilmoor have been secretly in a relationship for five months after splitting from their respective spouses.

Erica, who has been named as BPerfect Cosmetics’ new brand ambassador, divulged that the reunion is the first time Shona and Matt have been in the group as an item, and the first time Adrienne has come face-to-face with them both.

The dance teacher said: “Shona and Matt went together and Adrienne was there too so that was the first time she had seen them both since they had gotten together. But genuinely, she is really happy for them and she wishes them the best so there is no bad blood between any of them.”

In addition, Luke Worley was banned from the reunion after he was axed from the show following his physical fight with Jordan and has gone on to anger Channel 4 bosses with his comments on social media.

For Erica, though, Luke’s absence was welcomed. She continued: “I was glad [Luke] wasn’t there. It was his own fault; he was putting spoilers online and running his mouth about things that he shouldn’t be and talking about the channel, so I understand why he wasn’t invited.”

Nevertheless, she says she “adores” Luke’s ex Jay Howard and insists that she deserves the “absolute world” following their split.

Now the 2023 series has wrapped, Erica and her co-star Adrienne have landed a partnership with BPerfect Cosmetics.

Speaking about the exciting move, the stunner gushed: “I’ve used BPerfect for so long and after using the products on the show most of my questions were, ‘What’s your blusher? What’s your foundation?’ I didn’t expect the demand to be so high so I was absolutely buzzing to be working with them.”

Erica is thrilled to be an official Brand Ambassador for BPerfect Cosmetics.

The MAFS reunion will air in 2024, with an exact release date yet to be confirmed by Channel 4.
