Mama Junes daughter Chickadee, 28, diagnosed with rare form of cancer and starts chemo

Anna Cardwell has been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer, according to TMZ.

Eldest daughter of reality TV personality Mama June (real name June Shannon), and a mum-of-two herself, Anna, 28, is more commonly referred to as 'Chickadee'.

Reports reveal that her life-threatening news was delivered all the way back in January of this year after complaining of stomach aches. Tests were subsequently conducted by doctors, which is when the adrenocortical carcinoma was discovered in her liver, kidney and lung.

Also known as adrenal cortical cancer (ACC), this Stage 4 condition can occur at any age, while the Cancer Research UK breakdown reads: "ACC starts in the outer layer of the adrenal glands, which are next to the kidneys. The adrenal glands are small glands that make hormones that control important body functions.

"Cancer that starts in the inner layer of the adrenal glands is called phaeochromocytoma."

It's believed that Anna underwent her first round of chemotherapy in February and has already lost hair as a result. Medics are weighing up how she reacts to the treatment before making any further decisions.

Her family is "very hopeful" that she'll pull through, while they're apparently all chipping in to help with caring for her daughters Kaitlyn and Kylee, including boyfriend Eldridge.

Over on Instagram, fans poured into the comment columns of various posts from Anna, including a smiley selfie posted just this week.

"Well I ain't posted here in a while. Your girl is back sorry for the photo dump that's going to happen hahah I love y'all and I hope y'all hope y'all are having a good week #imback #2023 #tiktok," she captioned it.

One of her followers shared: "Thinking of you hun. Im not sure if its true what i heard. But you've got this hun. Your a strong woman x," while another two lovingly added: "Sending prayers, love, and hugs. I'm sorry you're going through this. You're far too young" and "My heart is praying for you sweet girl."

Anna's supporters were in full voice after reading those cancer reports, with a fourth individual messaging her: "My thoughts and prayers for you! I pray you have your family’s support as you go through this difficult time."

"Praying for you, Anna," read a fifth response. "You might not know us but we know you and some of us have followed you since [US series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo]. We are all praying so hard for you to beat this."
