The Chase: Contestants win £20,000 in final chase
The Chase star Mark Labbett, known as The Beast on the ITV show, has shared his fears that host Bradley Walsh might depart the hugely popular quiz show in light of lucrative career offers.
Bradley and his Casualty star son Barney have bagged a huge job presenting the reboot of the iconic show Gladiators, which is due to return to screens shortly.
In light of this huge news, Mark admitted: “I worry Bradley might stop one day. Anne [Hegerty] is terrified, the others are worried.
“In the same way Holly Willoughby resigned from This Morning, ITV would be inundated with people wanting to do it if, God forbid, Bradley retired,” he told The Sun.
Bradley has been presenting the hit daytime quiz since 2009, and has won legions of fans with his cheeky sense of humour.

When news of his Gladiators role was announced he issued a statement that highlighted his excitement at landing the role.
The statement read: “Wow! I can’t believe that I’ve been asked to be part of this iconic show. I used to sit backstage, or in the audience, every week watching my wife be part of this juggernaut and now I get to co-host a new version of GLADIATORS!!! Saturday night family entertainment at its best…ARE YOU READY?” (sic)
Bradley and son Barney are no strangers to working together, having shot five seasons of the reality show Breaking Dad together beginning in 2019.
They also acted together in the ITV drama The Larkins, which was axed earlier this year after two seasons.

Bradley is also kept busy as the host of BBC Saturday night favourite Blankety Blank and is also soon to host this year’s Royal Variety performance, having taken over the role from Lee Mack.
For his part, Barney has proved a fan favourite since joining the hit BBC medical drama Casualty earlier this year as staff nurse Cameron “Cam” Mickelthwaite.
He recently exclusively told Express.co.uk that it is an “incredible” job as he gets to honour the NHS.
“[Casualty] is an incredible job to do because it’s so true and so real and we’re honouring the NHS, which is so important to me, so this is an incredible thing to be a part of,” he said.
