Maya Jama explains strange mark on her shoulder after Love Island viewers air concern

Maya Jama has spoken out amid concerns about the star after Love Island viewers noticed a mark on her shoulder.

Maya, 28, returned to her Love Island hosting with a bang on Thursday night, 16 February, as the contestants faced the consequences of their Casa Amor antics where they decided if to stick with their original partner or not.

Maya dazzled in a jaw-dropping ensemble as usual, and entered the villa in the stunning high-neck red red with cut out detailing and thigh-high slit.

The hosting favourite completed her look with her dark tresses half up and wore a pair of statement gold hoops.

But, rather than just talking about the villa dramas that unfolded as original Islander Shaq Muhammaed was left heartbroken after Tanya Manhenga chose to couple up with bombshell Martin, viewers questioned the mark on Maya’s shoulder.

Taking to Twitter, one person asked: “@MayaJama , did you catch your shoulder with the hair straighteners!! #loveisland”.

Sharing the tweet, the 28 year old replied: “I was shoulder dancing in a sparkly dress and it scratched at the Brits xx”.

Maya donned not one, but two dresses for the Brits last weekend.

Her first dress was a black sleeveless, sparkly midi dress with gold chain embellishments on it, which she paired with some gold strappy heels as she hit the red carpet.

Maya then changed into a gorgeous sparkly one-shouldered gown as she took to the stage to present alongside the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Clara Amfo and Roman Kemp.

Following the prestigious awards night, Maya and a host of other celebs headed to a boat party hosted by Coca-Cola.

The 28 year old had fun twerking and dancing with her friends, which included Jesse Lingard and AJ Odudu, as it travelled across the River Thames.

And of course all good nights out finish with a trip to fast food joint McDonald's and Maya knows this well, and so she secured the takeaway at 4am whilst back on dry land.

There was a separate afterparty that took place at the exclusive 108 The Strand, where the likes of Ashley Roberts, Leigh Francis aka Keith Lemon, Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black were in attendance.

They were able to shake their stuff to Sophie Ellis-Bexter who performed at the event, and treated the audience to a rendition of her popular hit 'Murder on the Dancefloor' while dressed in an emerald green dress.
