Meghan Markle has shared her concerns over her son Archie ever attending school in the UK, as she openly admitted “I’d have a problem with that."

The 41 year old Duchess of Sussex, who shares two children with husband Prince Harry, spoke of her worries in a new interview with New York magazine The Cut.

Relaying the conversation to readers, Allison wrote: “Earlier in our conversation about her goals for the life she’s creating here, she’d remarked upon how, if Archie were in school in the U.K., she’d never be able to do school pickup and drop-off without it being a royal photo call with a press pen of 40 people snapping pictures.”

Meghan told the interviewer: “Sorry, I have a problem with that. That doesn’t make me obsessed with privacy.

“That makes me a strong and good parent protecting my child.”

The comments come despite the fact that Meghan's in laws, Prince William and Kate Middleton, are known to regularly do the school run without interference from photographers. Images of the young Royals when not at official events are rarely published by the British press, unlike their US counterparts.

Indeed Archie’s first day at school in the US was captured by paparazzi – a move which prompted Harry to vent his frustration as “madness”.

Appearing on the Armchair Expert podcast, Harry said: “Page Six of the New York Post, they took photos of my son being picked up from school on his first day.”

Elaborating on how he feels about paparazzi culture, he then added that it is: “this sort of rabid feeding frenzy. Kids don’t get a choice; they don’t get a say in it.”

The senior Royal also went on to explain that he and Meghan were previously chased while in Los Angeles shortly after arriving in the US, lending further weight to Meghan’s worries that she would have a problem with allowing Archie to attend school in the UK.

The Prince said: “We spent the first three and a half months living at [friend] Tyler Perry’s house.”

“The helicopters, the drones, the paparazzi cutting the fence, like, it was madness. And people out there, their response was, ‘What do you expect if you live in L.A.?’”

“First of all, we didn’t mean to live in L.A. This is a staging area to try and find a house. And secondly, how sad that if you live in L.A. and you’re a well-known figure, you just have to expect it.”

Thankfully however he did add that since moving from LA to Montecito, a town in Santa Barbara County, things had been “way better” when dealing with photographers.
