MICs Inga Valentiner talks ‘conflicted’ decision as she takes Sam Prince back

After splitting from Sam Prince earlier this year, Inga Valentiner decided to give the Made in Chelsea star another chance and she reveals to OK! it was far from an easy decision for her to make.

When the pair split up on the show, the 29 year old insisted they would “never speak again” – but now they have confirmed they couldn't be in a better place.

"I was very conflicted," Inga, 29, shares. "I was going between what my head wanted and what my heart wanted."

Inga then revealed that it was actually her friend and co-star Maeva D'Ascanio who had a part to play in making her mind up.

Maeva – who is engaged and pregnant with James Taylor's baby – was the one who championed their relationship and encouraged the couple to rekindle their romance, Inga and Sam reveal to us.

She said: "It was actually Maeva D'Ascanio who sort of played Cupid and said, 'You know what, if you really love someone, you’re making a mistake by not being with them. You have to let go of the past and give it another try.'"

"So I think that advice made me think twice. I followed my heart because she made me realise I could end up regretting it if I didn’t give it one more go."

Inga added that she wanted to ensure both she and Sam trusted each other before going back into a relationship.

"It is one of those things that if you lose your trust, it’s hard to get back," she continued.

"I think that was the fundamental thing going back into this relationship. We both needed to make sure it was 1,000%."

Speaking of their relationship, Sam revealed Inga is "his best friend", while Inga added that in her previous relationships, she felt there was always something missing.

Sam confessed: "Inga is very caring and affectionate. She’s constantly giving love and that’s something I’ve always craved. She’s very supportive and my best friend."

Inga admitted: "I’ve been in a long-term relationship before and there was always something missing but with Sam, I think I finally got the things I wanted this whole time.

"And that was the passion, the fun, the spontaneity.

"I’ve always wanted to travel around with the person that I’m with and have those adventures. Finally, I found someone that I can do that with."

Inga and Sam are clearly in a good place and have even told us they've spoken about getting married in the future.

"That’s something we have spoken about and we’re both excited to have that in our future but we have so much to do before then, like travel together and have more adventures," Inga says.

Sam then shared: "I think we’re still children ourselves! It’s the first time I’ve had a girlfriend where we’re just kids and we can totally be ourselves. We can sit down and either play Mario Kart or have
a romantic meal."
