Mod Sun breaks his silence on Avril Lavigne breakup

On Feb. 28, Mod Sun took to Instagram to address reports he and Avril Lavigne called it quits a year after he popped the question in Paris: “In one week my entire life completely changed… I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up [and] always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken. Being surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing. I have the best friends in the entire world, thanks for always having my back. See you on stage,” he captioned a slideshow of photos of himself. After TMZ reported that the duo had gone their separate ways, Avril’s rep confirmed the breakup news to multiple media outlets while Mod Sun’s rep indicated the rapper was blindsided by the split, saying, “they were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed, that’s news to him.”

On Feb. 27, People magazine confirmed recent rumors that Jon Hamm and his girlfriend of several years, actress Anna Osceola, are engaged. On March 1, meanwhile, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, “Olivia is ready to date again, making it clear she’s available, and she isn’t looking for anything less than an amazing guy.” In recent weeks, there’ve been whispers online that the actress-filmmaker is already taken: In mid-February, Deux Moi reported that, according to an anonymous source, Olivia “found love again” with a “not famous” mystery man who “runs a real estate company in Calabasas” after her friend “introduced them over the holidays.” Said the source, “They have been hanging out a lot lately … and she is thrilled to be dating a normal guy for once.”

On Feb. 25, The Sun reported that Dua Lipa is dating French film director Romain Gavras, who previously romanced Rita Ora and M.I.A. “[They’ve] been quietly getting to know each other for several months. They have been enjoying spending time together. The pair met each other’s close circles over the [holidays] and have lots in common. Dua knows how important it is to find someone who understands her industry. She feels Romain totally gets it. They’re both really creative people,” a source said.
