Naga Munchetty unrecognisable in long-haired throwback pic

Naga Munchetty, 48, looks almost completely unrecognisable in a throwback picture from her youth.

The BBC Breakfast presenter can be seen sporting much longer hair than she does now, opting for a tight, curly, above-the-shoulders style.

The star, who typically wears her hair in a chic, extremely short style, gave fans some insight into her time at school when she appeared on Comedy Central’s Rhod Ghilbert’s Growing Pains back in November.

The presenter, who rocked some gorgeous curls during her teenage years, spoke to comedian Rhod about her adolescence.

On the show, Rhod judges various celebrities as they revisit their time as teens, and when a picture of teenage Naga appeared on the screen she looked totally different.

Naga went on to admit how during her time at school, she had been a “straight-A student”.

However, she also chuckled that “no one fancied her” despite her impressive academic performance.

The broadcaster has been married to film director James Haggar since 2007.

During the show, Rhod went on to ask Naga about the “love letters” she would send to one of her classmates at school.

Sharing the hilarious anecdote, the newsreader explained: “Well, you call them love letters.

“I loved Prince and [my friend] loved Prince. So we used to write these letters to each other with all Prince lyrics.”

In the Comedy Central show, Rhod Gilbert is joined by three celebrity guests to re-visit their teenage years.

Each celebrity takes a trip down memory lane, competing across fashion, pop culture, first loves, school reports and more.

Mystery guests can also be seen popping up along the way to offer up further revelations and ultimately further embarrass the cringing celebs.

At the end of each show, a star is crowned Most Embarrassing Teenager by Rhod to rapturous applause.
