The one-third of Migos was reportedly driving a 2018 Dodge Charger in Encino, California near the U.S. 101 freeway when the incident happened in November 2020.
AceShowbiz –Offset has found himself being entangled in new legal trouble. The one-third of Migos is reportedly being sued by Mercury Insurance Company over a car crash that took place on November 11, 2020.
The company filed the complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court. According to legal papers obtained by RadarOnline.com, the incident went down in Encino, California near the U.S. 101 freeway.
At that time, Offset was driving a 2018 Dodge Charger. The other driver, Silvestre Cruz Gutierrez, was driving a 2019 Honda Civic along with a passenger called Maria Salina Lopez.
The suit accused Offset and/or another individual of operating the vehicle negligently, which led to the car crash. Noting that the car was uninsured, Mercury Insurance said, “The insurance policy described above-included collision coverage, insuring the Honda for damages sustained.”
According to the company, Silvestre’s car was “damaged, destroyed, depreciated, diminished in value, and necessitated repairs and towing charges in the sum of $10,605.73.” The suit further read, “The owners of the Honda were deprived of the use of their said vehicle to their damage in the sum of $1,090.27.”
Meanwhile, Maria allegedly sustained severe bodily injuries and emotional distress, “all of which caused and will continue to cause great physical and mental pain and suffering, resulting in temporary and permanent disability, and a loss of earning capacity, causing a loss earnings, and requiring her to incur obligations for medical expenses and other special damages.” So the company forked out $15,000 to Maria for that matter.
Now Mercury Insurance wants the husband of Cardi B to be ordered to pay them the full amount plus interest.
