The social media influencer has been charged with second-degree murder after she’s arrested on August 10 while she’s at a rehabilitation center for substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder.

AceShowbiz -Courtney Clenney a.k.a. Courtney Tailor should spend the rest of her days behind bars, says her late boyfriend Christian “Toby” Obumseli’s family. According to Christian’s family members, the OnlyFans model should be sentenced to life in prison for brutally killing her boyfriend.

On Sunday, August 14, TMZ reported that Christian’s family attorney Larry Handfield said that the Obumselis want the 26-year-old model to be given a life sentence for murder. Larry added that they’re “happy” with the second-degree murder as the conviction could result in a life sentence. The lawyer went on noting that the Obumseli family’s faith in the justice system was restored when the social media star was arrested last week and charged in her boyfriend’s death.

As for Courtney’s attorney Frank Prieto, he told the outlet, “Although the State Attorney, by law, must consider the wishes of the next of kin a criminal case, those wishes often have to give way to more reasonable minds.” The attorney went on to add, “While we understand the family is grieving the loss of Mr. Obumseli, and they want justice, justice in this matter will be the acquittal of Courtney on all charges.”

Courtney was arrested on August 10 while she was at a rehabilitation center for substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder. Despite being arrested in Hawaii, the social media influencer will be extradited to Miami, Florida, where she will face trial for the crime.

Courtney was then charged with second-degree murder with a deadly weapon, despite claiming self-defense. It’s been six months since Christian’s gruesome stabbing inside their Miami apartment.

Of the fatal incident, police said they received a frantic call from Courtney at about 5 P.M. on April 3. She reportedly told authorities she and Christian were fighting when he suddenly grabbed her by the throat, prompting her to stab him in self-defense. Police arrived at the scene shortly after and found the man with a single stab wound to his chest. He was immediately transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Despite the cops finding her covered in Christian’s blood, she was not arrested because she was rushed to a mental institution. When she was taken to the police department for questioning, she reportedly threatened to kill herself. Police said that the threat led to an evaluation, causing her to be “Baker Acted.”

Just days after the arrest, a shocking surveillance video was leaked by prosecutors. In the footage dated February 21, two months before Courtney allegedly killed Christian, she’s seen repeatedly punching and kicking her boyfriend. She pounded the touch screen before slapping him and pulling his hair as he desperately tried to fend off her blows.
