Ouzy See reveals he was set up on Love Island amid cheating claims and split from Kady

Love Island's Kady McDermott and Ouzy See made headlines with their reported split earlier this month, amid swirling rumours of Ouzy's two-night stay in a hotel with another woman.

Now, Ouzy has stepped forward to address the claims, confirming that it was indeed his actions that led to the relationship's downfall.

However, he says he was "set up" by the woman he met at the hotel.

In the aftermath of the split, Kady pointedly cited Ouzy's "behaviour and actions" as the catalyst for their separation.

Ouzy subsequently released his own statement, acknowledging that his actions were the cause and expressing his apologies for the situation.

It was reported that shortly after returning to the UK, Ouzy met up with Alicia, an influencer with whom he had prior connections before Love Island.

Speaking to MailOnline at the We Are FSTVL event, Ouzy clarified that there was "no romantic connection" between him and Alicia and admitted he understands why Kady felt upset.

He explained: "I just want to clear it up, I was in the wrong. I can understand why Kady was upset, the girl (Alicia) set me up, she came to the hotel and I had never done anything with her."

He further elaborated on the circumstances, emphasising that his and Kady’s relationship was not exclusive at the time and had not progressed to their first date.

Ouzy shared: "Things were going in the right direction and going well but when we came out of the villa, things were so different. Then that happened on July 30 and after me and Kady met up and I kind of ruined it. I knew the girl before, I knew of her."

Ouzy emphasised that there was no romantic entanglement with Alicia despite their prior acquaintance.

He acknowledged that while her friends' posts on Twitter painted a misleading picture, there was no romantic connection. Reflecting on the situation, he concluded: "It is what it is and I'm happy now."

Despite the public scrutiny and the subsequent unfollowing of each other on Instagram, Ouzy expressed that he harbours no regrets and acknowledged that Kady wasn't at fault.

Kady was also plagued with rumours of a "secret boyfriend" throughout her second stint in the Love Island villa.

Kady set the record straight with an Instagram post that read: “The narrative that is circulating that I had a boyfriend whilst in the Love Island villa is categorically FALSE,

“My mum stayed at mine whilst I was in the villa to look after my dog and house. The media have been relentless with this narrative and it now appears others want to jump on the bandwagon too.

"Speaking opinions is one thing but making such bold statements with confidence is wrong. Not only are they false they can be very damaging.”
