‘One person was wheelchaired out’: Peter Kay ‘halts his comedy show in Newcastle after three audience members are rushed to hospital’
Peter Kay was forced to pause his latest comedy show in Newcastle after three members of the audience were taken ill.
The comedian, 49, is currently in the middle of his first UK tour in 12 years, which is set to continue until June 2025.
Peter briefly halted his latest show at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena when he spotted a fan that was sat in the front row of the audience had become unwell and needed medical attention.
An onlooker told The Sun that Peter disappeared from the stage for 15 minutes to try and help the audience member, and a wheelchair was soon brought out.
Minutes later the audience member was wheeled out of the arena, and when Peter returned to the stage, he told the crowd that two more guests had been hospitalised.

A member of the audience said: ‘People near the front started shouting for an ambulance.
‘Peter asked if they were being serious, then he asked for the big lights to go on and stewards ran over to see what was going on.
‘Peter came back on and continued the show but said ‘three went down then’ and he said he hoped ”they were OK”.’
MailOnline has contacted a representative for Peter Kay for more information on what happened on the night.
It comes after Peter revealed that he is set to release a brand new memoir this September.
The comedian has written about his ‘obsession for TV and working in it’ in the new book, which is already available for pre-order.
Named ‘Introducing… T.V. Big Adventures on the Small Screen’, the memoir will take a trip down memory lane as Peter recalls the last 25 years in showbiz.
It is his first memoir in 14 years, after previously releasing ‘Saturday Night Peter Kay’ – an autobiography which picked up from where his 2006 book The Sound of Laughter left off.

Peter returned to the stage in 2022 with a sold-out stand up tour, his first in 12 years.
The mammoth 110-date tour left ticket sights inundated as fans rushed to secure a spot in the audience.
Following the tour announcement, the star’s official website appeared to crash briefly under increased online traffic.
