Well, you might have the solution right under your nose.

eBay has shared how we could make hundreds of pounds just by selling unused items from around the home. 

The resale platform found that vacuum cleaners could nab you roughly £86, while hair dryers and smartwatches earned sellers £70 and £124 respectively.

Bicycles topped the list with sale prices averaging at £284, followed by tablets at £171 and video games consoles at £158.

Up the rear, air beds (£40), Christmas trees (£38) and juicers (£36) could also be a way to turn rarely-used items into extra cash.
