Phillip Schofield made a blunder on This Morning after discovering he’ll be missing out on meeting a certain A-list guest next week.
The 60 year old learnt live on air that US singer Pink will appear on the show on 14 February, during his break for half-term.
Phillip was visibly disappointed on camera as he realised he wouldn’t get to talk to the global star, who he revealed he’d been waiting “years” to meet.
The presenter was seen with his hands on hus head after receiving the news, as co-host Holly Willoughby said he was “deeply upset about what has just happened”.
Philip exclaimed: "No way!"
He continued: “I've been here for nearly 200 years and she is the one person I want to meet…a***!”
Holly, 42, covered her mouth with her hands in shock at the rude slip-up, as Phillip tried covering up his blunder, by saying “Harsh”.
"Come back, pop in, you’re only down the road," Holly suggested to Phillip.
He ranted: "I can't believe it, Tuesday and it’s half-term.”
Phillip then considered Holly’s idea, before adding: "I’m not going off, I’m coming in!"
Holly, on the other hand, was happy to stick with her half-term break as originally scheduled, as she said she won’t returning to the studio to meet Pink.
Fans were left confused by Phillip’s reaction to not being able to meet the singer.
One viewer tweeted: "Why is he acting like he just found out about pink right now…they have been promoting it for days #ThisMorning."
A second fan wrote: "Since when has Phil liked Pink? #ThisMorning.
Others weren’t so impressed with Phillip complaining about his half-term break, and offered another suggestion to the co-host.
One person wrote: "Hey Schofe, how about you not take the school holidays off (when your children are adults) and you can meet P!nk can’t you? #ThisMorning."
A third added: "Phil Schofield moaning that he’s not in next week when P!nk is on the show because it’s half term…You don’t need no half term #ThisMorning."
Josie Gibson and Dermot O’Leary will be filling in for Phillip and Holly on This Morning next week.
Big Brother winner Josie, 38, shared that she’s “honoured” to be back presenting the show again with Dermot, 49.
“Whenever I'm sitting there hosting the show, I often look around and think, 'How the hell did this happen to me?’” Josie said.
"Dermot is just so funny, he really makes me belly laugh off-camera as well. I presented with him before when Alison [Hammond] was off and we had a really good time!"
