Susanna Reid thanks Piers Morgan for his help in her career
Piers Morgan celebrated his 58th birthday last Thursday and as a treat, has taken two weeks off from his self-titled Talk TV show, Uncensored.
The journalist started his vacation with some overdue reunions, taking an unlikely crew with him as he headed off to conquer “midnight in Hollywood”.
Joining Piers was Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, former Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli and Match of the Day host Gary Lineker, who Piers supported during his recent scandal over impartiality rules at the BBC.
The quartet squeezed together for an Instagram selfie in front of the iconic Sunset Tower Hotel on Tuesday, as Piers jokingly added in the caption: “Opinions are flying.”
Piers revealed some more insights on his eventful Monday evening, as he shared a snap of the star-studded dinner table from Monday night writing: “Two pop stars, two judges (well, three, technically), Britain’s most notorious opinion-expresser (not me), a model, a sports journalist, and a showbiz manager. My kinda dinner party.”
Last month when Gary fell in some hot water over some personal views he expressed on Twitter, Piers was quick to defend the sports broadcaster.
When it was revealed that Gary had been suspended, Piers tweeted: “WTF? How pathetically spineless… I now demand the BBC suspend every presenter who has made public comment about news or current affairs – starting with Sir David Attenborough and Lord Sugar.
“Gary Lineker should tell the BBC to go f*** themselves, as I told ITV to over the Markle debacle. Free speech is the cornerstone of democracy – the moment Britons agree to be told what we’re allowed to say or think, democracy dies.”

Gary was soon reinstated as host of BBC’s Match of the Day.
Meanwhile, Bruno is set to join Amanda on the judging panel for Britain’s Got Talent – the talent show Piers was also originally a part of for the first four seasons.
The former Strictly judge is replacing David Walliams as the comedian reportedly hopes to focus more on his career as a children’s author.
Last week, Piers reunited with his former Good Morning Britain co-host Susanna Reid as they enjoyed a quaint breakfast together the day before his birthday.

One last reunion saw the journalist presented with an Arsenal-themed birthday cake as he and his wife, Celia Walden, dined with celebrated actress Dame Joan Collins.
Lastly, rounding out his week of celebrations, Piers enjoyed an adorable family dinner with his four children.
Posing alongside Spencer Morgan, 29, Stanley Morgan, 25, Albert Morgan, 22, and his only daughter Elise, 11, the Talk TV host proudly dubbed them his “Birthday squad”.
He added: “My proudest achievements… and for the first time ever, as my gift – they paid! Wonderful dinner at one of our favourite restaurants.”
