Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are hitting the town! And by that I mean they attended an extremely chill Jack Johnson concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl (an outdoor venue that was “packed”). According to TMZ—who got pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex enjoying the music and being all kinds of cute—these two were “weren’t exactly just part of the crowd,” and “watched the show from a special section cordoned off from the masses” with about ten other people.
The outlet reports that Meghan arrived at the concert ahead of Harry, who got there about an hour after she did. Apparently they “cut loose during the show,” and were “dancing” and “swaying to the music.” Oh, and at one point, Harry “wrapped his arm around her waist.” It’s unknown who else was in the royal couples’ ~exclusive section~ but Meghan and Harry were “friendly” with them and “chatting them up!”
Harry and Meghan’s outing comes just a few weeks after their extended stay in England, where they attended the Queen’s state funeral. It’s been an intense time for the couple—who spent extended time with the royals on the trip—and for Harry in particular due to the loss of his grandmother. The prince wrote a touching tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on his Archewell website shortly after her death, reading in part “Granny, while this final parting brings us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all of our first meetings — from my earliest childhood memories with you, to meeting you for the first time as my commander-in-chief, to the first moment you met my darling wife and hugged your beloved great-grandchildren. I cherish these times shared with you, and the many other special moments in between. You are already sorely missed.”
In the wake of the Queen’s passing, Harry and Meghan are reportedly trying to edit some of the content in their upcoming Netflix docuseries. Meanwhile, the couple are reportedly gearing up for a move out of Montecito due to security concerns.
