Prince Harry ‘exposed’ dad Charles’ ‘secret health battle’ in memoir Spare, expert claims

Prince Harry “exposed” King Charles’ “secret health battle” in his recent memoir, Spare, an expert has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex made a number of allegations in his explosive memoir and the Netflix show Harry & Meghan, that proceeded it.

Royal expert Daniela Elser believes that Prince Harry, 38, revealed one of his father’s secret health woes in a portion of his book where he recalled a time at Balmoral.

The Duke, who is allegedly being watched closely by his uncle Prince Andrew, noted “neck and back” injuries of the King’s, which Daniela claims shows other possible “royal health problems.”

In his book, which came out back in January and quickly broke records, Harry wrote: "Open the wrong door and you might burst in on Pa while his valet was helping him dress. Worse, you might blunder in as he was doing his headstands.

"Prescribed by his physio, these exercises were the only effective remedy for the constant pain in Pa’s neck and back. Old polo injuries, mostly."

In her article for News.com.au, Daniela detailed how she believes Harry crossed a line and revealed too much information, which could spur other questions about the health of the Royal Family.

"Never before has there ever been any suggestion that the unflagging Charles might have been in 'constant pain' for all the decades that he was undertaking hundreds of engagements annually,” the journalist noted.

She continued to argue that the “obvious question” is if the public didn’t know about the King’s health, then “what other royal health problems might we not know about?"

"This is not the first time the world has only found out long after the fact that Charles was in a much worse way than anyone in a pinstriped suit was letting on,” she added.

While Harry’s words will undoubtedly raise questions about the health of the Monarch, most are wondering whether he and Meghan Markle will be permitted to attend the coronation of Harry’s father, which is set for May.

According to a source in Whitehall, the guest list for the star-studded ceremony is already finalised, with Harry and Meghan both making the cut.

"They’re on the list and planning is well underway to make sure the proceedings run as smooth as possible – without any drama,” the source told The Express, noting how they only have a few weeks to respond.

But their attendance takes confirmation on both sides, and, as a source close to the couple recently told The Mirror, Harry and Meghan are still very undecided.

“Harry has been very clear and his position hasn’t wavered – he isn’t going to come if he feels the atmosphere will be as toxic as it was during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and funeral,” they explained.

“He’s said he wants to reconcile with his family and it’s their call, but so far nothing has changed.”
