Princess Diana’s twin nieces Amelia and Eliza Spencer join stars at British Luxury Awards

Princess Diana's twin nieces joined the stars at this year's British Luxury Awards.

Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia Spencer, who are the daughters of Diana's brother Charles Spencer, were both photographed looking glamorous as they turned up at the awards ceremony.

The event, held at The Dorchester in London, saw the two 30 year olds coordinate their outfits to make a striking entrance.

Lady Eliza wore a high neck, one sleeve black dress to the floor, with a thigh high slit and her midriff exposed.

She paired the look with a sleek up-do, black strappy heels and a black crocodile clutch bag.

Lady Amelia styled her hair in a similar fashion, wearing long silver earrings to match her floor length black gown with silver sequined detail, which was complete with large, billowing sleeves.

The annual awards ceremony is a celebration of the best of design, innovation and creativity in Britain's luxury sector.

The pair are often photographed at glam events, most recently attending the reopening of an iconic fashion boutique.

The sisters also wore matching outfits to the event, which saw the opening of Longchamp's New Bond Street store.

And they weren't the only ones in attendance, with several famous faces supporting the reopening of the French fashion house's boutique.

They were also joined by models Suki Waterhouse, 30, and Pixie Geldof, 32, as well as model and royal Lady Amelia Windsor, 27.

The twins, daughters of Charles Spencer and his former wife, Victoria Aitken, opened up about their royal aunt in their first ever joint interview last year, featured in Tatler.

The two, who are cousins of Prince William and Prince Harry, admitted to the magazine that they had no idea the impact Diana's death had had on the world, as they were raised in South Africa.

Lady Eliza said: "Growing up in South Africa, I really had very little idea of how significant she was in the world until I was much older…

"She always made an effort to connect with us as children and had a talent for reading children's hearts."

She also recalled an incident in which a photographer approached them while they were strolling along a beach in Cape Town with her.

"Obviously it could have been quite terrifying for us, being so young and not understanding what was happening.

"But she turned it into a game of who could get back to the car first. It was amazing how she protected us in a way that made us feel safe and not frightened.

"We had no idea what she was doing at the time. As a child, I realised the enormity of the loss for my father and family.”
