Queen Camilla is "likely to receive jewellery from the late Queen" for her 76th birthday, as a former royal butler shares her secret "heartache" and "devastation" ahead of celebrations.

In a new interview with Spin Genie, King Charles’ former butler Grant Harrold goes into detail about what we can expect from her "lowkey" celebrations. The former butler also revealed that, in the days following her birthday, we might notice she is wearing different jewellery as he said she might be "given something from the late Queen’s collection of jewellery".

As Queen Camilla celebrates her 76th birthday, Grant has shared his fond memories of working for the King and Queen Camilla from 2004 to 2011, as the new Queen prepares for her birthday this week. Speaking about the celebrations, he says Camilla will have a "lowkey" birthday with the King and her children – but "loves a party".

Grant said this year, the royals won't "celebrate big" as Camilla will be turning 76 and they "celebrate big when it’s 75 or 80".

However, he did reveal that she "loves a party" as he said: "Camilla really enjoys parties herself. Whenever she’s pictured at an event, you can tell she’s enjoying herself and letting herself go.”

In the chat, Grant also opened up on Camilla’s secret "heartache" following the death of her mother when she turned 72. Grant said: "Well, she is now past that point of turning 72, but I’m sure up until turning 72, it was a worry in her mind. It probably will always be at the back of her mind. I know she was very close to her mother and her father. I knew them very well. I don’t think she’s ever fully gotten over losing her mother. It really devastated her."

Last year, the late Queen Elizabeth II paid tribute to the Queen consort Camilla, in celebration of her 75th birthday as she took to Twitter and posted a snap of Camilla sitting down in a blue floral dress with her beloved pet dog Beth sitting calmly on her lap.

Alongside a birthday cake emoji, the late monarch wrote: "Wishing The Duchess of Cornwall a very Happy 75th Birthday!"

To celebrate her birthday last year, an official new portrait of Camilla was released on Saturday, 16 July. In the photograph, the Queen Consort wore a stunning blue floral dress by Sophie Dundas and was seen sitting at a garden table with flowers and plants in the background.
