Rita Ora appears to be completely besotted by her new husband Taika Waititi after gushing about her “fairytale” ending in a recent interview.
The songstress, 31, tied the knot in an “intimate” ceremony in central London earlier this year, and although the star never actually confirmed the nuptials,her friend and celeb hairstylist James Brown congratulated the couple in an Instagram post.
Speaking on Jaime Winstone's Greatest Night Ever podcast, the hitmaker said: “I'm in love. I'm very much in love. I'm in love, I'm in love, amen!
“But I love love as well. I've always been such a believer in it and I've always felt like I always wanted the fairytale and that's what I grew up loving.”
She continued: “My parents have been together for over 30 years, so for me, it was always about love and finding a partner and all that, so I'm really happy I did.
“I made that choice. It made me happy and I love Taika. He's so funny and lovely.”
It was reported that just two months after the Hollywood director officially popped the question, they got married in a “super special” ceremony.
A source told The Sun at the time: “It was a really intimate ceremony and super special for everyone there. Their nearest and dearest can see how madly in love they are.
“Despite living in the spotlight, Rita is determined to keep the relationship as private as possible and didn't want to make a big song and dance about the wedding.
The source also revealed that a second bash is planned, which promises a far grander soiree for all involved.
Rita and Taika have been dating for around 18 months, after the pair grew closer while Rita was working in Australia on TV singing show The Voice.
However, the couple were revealed to have been friends long before that, with the singer even sharing a sweet throwback snap of them together on Valentine’s day, dating back to four years ago.
Captioning the heartfelt snap, Rita wrote: “Us, four years ago. To now. Thanks for being cool, and entertaining me forever.”
Since first going public with their relationship at the Los Angeles premiere of The Suicide Squad in August 2021, the couple have lived all over the world including in Sydney and LA, before settling in London where the pair are thought to currently reside.
