A terrified Rita then replies: ‘Oh my God!’

She then nervously makes her way to the edge of plane before diving off with an instructor attached to the back of her.

Footage shows her breaking out into a smile as she took in the views below her before she proclaimed ‘holy f**k’.

After landing and reuniting with Bear she tells him: ‘I just went straight out! That was amazing!’, before he told her: ‘Well done you Rita!’

Bear also teaches her how to navigate in unknown terrain, rock climb, find water, and make a pigeon dinner over a campfire as he prepares her to earn her extraction on day two.

Russell Brand and Benedict Cumberbatch are among the other stars taking part in the series with Bear.

It comes after earlier this week Rita revealed that her husband Taika Waititi was the driving force behind her new album, You & I.

The British pop star told The Sydney Morning Herald this weekend that her New Zealand film director spouse brought out her creativity and encouraged her to get more involved with the songwriting process.

In the air: She took a moment to smile while gliding through the air while looking at the stunning views

‘I wanted to tell a story of finding love, but it went deeper than that, because to find love, you have to find who you are, what makes you happy,’ she said.

‘You’re really focusing on your emotions instead of just throwing them under the rug, which is what I usually do.’

Rita was so focused on the album that she was back in the studio the morning after her wedding.

‘I had a session booked with a producer, Cirkut, and I didn’t want to cancel,’ she says.

‘I told him, “I’m a bit slow as I got married yesterday.” So we wrote a wedding song. The fact my brain was a bit foggy worked in my favour. There was no judgment. I was in the moment.’

The resulting ‘wedding song’ – the album’s title track You & I – is inspired by music played at the couple’s wedding, including Eternal Flame, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Wonderful World, Everlasting Love, Sweet Caroline, Stand by Me and The Way You Look Tonight.

‘Basically it’s our wedding playlist,’ Rita told the publication.

The pop star included intimate clips from their secret wedding in the music video for the single You & I, which was released last week.

Rita and Taika married at her home in Los Angeles in August 2022 with the bride wearing a Tom Ford gown.

The couple tied the knot in an impromptu ceremony that they planned in just two weeks with eight people in attendance, after Rita popped the question during a trip to Palm Springs.

Taika revealed: ‘She proposed to me, and I said ”yes” instantly.’

Discussing the ceremony, the director added: ‘There were about eight people there – just close friends and family, and parents on Zoom.’

In January, Rita finally confirmed that she and Taika had tied the knot after months of speculation, describing the nuptials as ‘perfect’ and a ‘special day’.

Rita said: ‘Yes [I am married]. I am officially off the market people. I chose to keep it more private and keep it to myself more but with my new video I am playing on what could have been’.

Rita and Taika started dating in March 2021, before going public with their romance that August and becoming engaged in 2022.
