Trailer for ‘Ed Sheeran: The Sum of it All’
Sarah Michelle Gellar was one of many celebrity attendees at Ed Sheeran’s California show on Friday, per the request of her daughter to celebrate her 14th birthday.
It’s unclear just who had the best time as the 46-year-old shared an adorable snap as the Shape of You singer cuddled her in his arms.
The Hollywood actress looked ecstatic, sharing the snap on her Instagram story saying she was so excited she couldn’t “keep a straight face”, while Ed seemingly had no issue posing professionally for the camera.
After the show, where Sarah could be seen in another heartwarming cuddle with her daughter as they swayed alongside each other to Perfect in the SoFi Stadium, the Buffy star shared an extra special “appreciation post” for Ed.
She started by listing off his “obvious” traits like being “the most talented singer-songwriter of his time” and revealed No Strings is her “personal favorite” track from his Subtract album.

Recounting her first time seeing him live this past weekend, Sarah continued: “ I was blown away. So first I want to thank him for that.”
However, the actress quickly piqued the interest of her 4.4 million followers as she revealed “things you may not know about him.”
She lovingly wrote: “He is the definition of a friend, he’s wickedly funny, always knows how to have a good time while still being the hardest worker, he’s an incredible (and dedicated) husband and father, and I’ve never met someone so kind to his fans.”

While Sarah went to the concert to celebrate her daughter’s birthday, the mother-of-two also had an impromptu reunion with her Buffy costars Seth Green and Emma Caulfield.
In a previous Instagram post, the former Buffy star explained that her daughter had hand-picked who would be going with them to the show adding: “Her guest list may not have been what you expected.”
