Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello‘s rekindled romance is already over and we’re learning more about what’s next.
The 24-year-old musician recently released a new song “What the Hell Are We Dying For?” which seemed to allude to being about their relationship and a split once again.
In a recent interview about the song, he opened up about it’s multiple meanings and how he was “on the back end of feeling a lot fthings about relationships, about my career, about environment.”
Now, a source is speaking out about his need to take time for himself.
See what they shared inside…
“Shawn is still growing and discovering himself. He needs time to himself to do what makes him happy,” the source told People. “He has a lot more living and learning in his future.”
They added, “The timing was wrong for Shawn and Camila.”
The former couple, who split in 2021, seemed back into the swing of being together following a Coachella make out, and several outings together up until very recently in New York City.
Neither has spoken publicly about their rekindled romance or lack thereof, which is understandable if they’re still trying to figure it out for themselves.
This week, it was also revealed that Camila has already started dating again.
