But loved-up couple Sophie Cookson and Stephen Campbell Moore showed that life doesn’t necessarily imitate art as they strolled arm in arm through West London.
Sophie, 32, and Stephen, 43, who have a three-year-old daughter, only had eyes for each other as they enjoyed a Valentine’s Day embrace. An onlooker said: ‘They seemed totally smitten.’

In the ITV adaptation of Sara Collins’s Georgian-era novel, Marguerite falls for their maid, former slave Frannie Langton, played by Karla-Simone Spence, 26. But Marguerite and husband George are later found murdered – and Frannie is the main suspect.
Cookson played the title role in BBC drama The Trial Of Christine Keeler, while Moore is soon to star in Apple TV+’s war drama series Masters Of The Air.
