Spencer Matthews regrets infamous Made In Chelsea break-up scene: Im embarrassed

Spencer Matthews has admitted that he "regrets" how he handled his break-up with Louise Thompson on Made in Chelsea.

The reality TV star, whose children were recently dubbed the "next generation of Made In Chelsea", has opened up on his past behaviour on the show in a new interview, and explained how he now sees some of his behaviour as "shocking" and unacceptable.

The 34 year old, who had one of the most memorable romances with Louise on the show, ended up in a shouting match with the beautiful brunette.

Louise had just discovered that Spencer was secretly cheating on her, as they rowed about the events that led to it on Putney Bridge, the love rat revealed his true colours at the time.

"It's very hard to respect you when you allow me to cheat on you," Spencer famously said.

Holding deep regret about his actions years later, the father-of-three has now shared his reflections on Elizabeth Day's How to Fail podcast.

"I feel embarrassed about it," the hunky star said, explaining that he and Louise had actually broken up in private the night before.

But after secretly ending things in their relationship and talking it out, producers told the duo to meet once more for the show the next day.

"So I had actually broken up with Louise the night before and I told her about the next scene and she came in steaming hot breaking up with me instead and I was like 'this isn't real anymore!'" the star began.

"At the time I was a heavy drinker and there was a change in the wind and our relationship was very toxic at the time and it meant we had a huge screaming match that I really regret," Spencer told Elizabeth Day.

"You know we're not friends but I have no hard feelings towards her I wish her all the best but it's a shame I yelled at her that way because I feel embarrassed about it.

"But had I not told her the night before it would have been different.

"I would have broken up with her and she would have had a different reaction but actually she came in knowing what the scene was about. So it was not real," the star went on.

Spencer also admitted that he struggles with his image as a reality TV veteran, as he's not keen on the genre in general.

Now a family man and much-removed from the Chelsea reality lifestyle, Spencer even went as far as to say he "hates" being known as Spencer from the show.

"I am ashamed and embarrassed at some of my actions, I wish I had cared what people thought of me at that time," the star added.

Spencer is now married to Vogue Williams, and the couple share children Theodore, three, Gigi, one, and Otto, nine months, together.
