Stephen Bear posed for selfies and sang to a journalist outside court as he arrived to be sentenced for revenge porn charges.
The 33-year-old, known for winningCelebrity Big Brother in 2016, wasfound guilty of non-consensually sharing a sex video of himself and ex-girlfriendGeorgia Harrison after a trial in December. On Friday,he was sentenced to 21 months in jail.
Georgia waived her anonymity during the trial and as Stephen arrived at Chelmsford Crown Court for sentencing, he was asked by reporters whether he had anything to say to his former partner.
After refusing to answer one journalist’s questions, he broke into a rendition of Chris De Burgh's song The Lady in Red.
He also posed for a selfie with a young woman on the road outside the court building.
At the trial in December, Stephen denied the charges of two counts of revenge porn and one count of voyeurism.
But he was convicted of voyeurism on a majority vote of 10 out of 12 jurors, and unanimously on the two counts of revenge porn after more than eight hours of jury deliberations.
The Ex on the Beach star had captured himself and Georgia, 28, engaging in sexual activity in his garden with a CCTV camera.
Georgie was unaware that she was being filmed at the time, and later, when she learned of its existence, she begged Bear not to share the footage.
But he did share it, via WhatsApp, and made money off it by uploading it to thesubscription service OnlyFans, where he earned £40,000 prior to his account being deleted.
After the verdict was announced, Georgia read a statementspeaking on the "absolute hell" she's been through over the incident.
"The only way to describe how I am feeling now is relieved," she said. "The last two years have been absolute hell and this verdict will allow me to start to put the pain I have suffered in the past and start embracing the future."
The former Love Island contestant went on to speak on the dangers of the "virtual world" and how important it is to protect people from injustices online.
During the trial, Bear became known for arriving at court in a variety of eccentric outfits – as well as in a rented Rolls Royce.
He appeared in full suits and animal-print jackets, often with a cane and a cigar with his latest partner, Jessica Smith.
Bear, who boasted about his “amazing performance” in the recording, was due to be sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court last month, but it was put back so he could be assessed by a psychiatrist.
His barrister Gemma Rose told the court on Friday he has since been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) with symptoms including a “lack of internal control, impulsive nature and hypersensitivity” as well as mixed anxiety and depressive disorder.
Jailing him, Judge Christopher Morgan said: “In my judgement having considered the matters set out in the pre-sentence report, the report from the court mental health liaison officer and the psychiatric report I conclude the appropriate punishment can only be achieved in your case by immediate custody. Your ADHD and anxiety do not remotely excuse your offences.”
Asked if he understood the sentence, Bear replied: “Yeah, sure.”
