Stephen Bear’s sentencing date announced after revenge porn trial guilty verdict

Stephen Bear has been found guilty for uploading a video to his OnlyFans page of Love Islander Georgia Harrison having sex with him in his garden.

Captured on CCTV camera, the footage shows the former couple having sex in Bear’s garden on August 2, 2020. Despite stating that she had not consented to be filmed, the clip showing Ms Harrison, 28, with Bear was later uploaded to the adult site.

The 32 year old was found guilty by a jury of two counts of revenge porn and one count of voyeurism today, 13 December, after having denied the charges.

Bear is currently out on bail and will be sentenced on 31 January 2023. Under a law established in 2015, Bear faces a maximum penalty of two years imprisonment, an unlimited fine, or both.

During the trial, Chelmsford Crown Court heard how Bear allegedly shared the video on his Onlyfans site and also reportedly circulated it via WhatsApp. Prosecutor Jacqueline Carey KC told the court that Bear had “profited financially” from the footage.

As the verdict returned today, the former Ex on The Beach star showed little remorse stating that the press had been “against him”.

Refusing to look at the jury, he told the Court: "My barrister said not to but it's nothing bad. In my opinion from the beginning it was never a fair trial, what the press were saying about me…"

Dressed in a simple black suit and tie, he added: “I was fighting a losing battle and it is what it is.”

Upon hearing this, Judge Christopher Morgan told Bear: “Thank you for that observation.”

The reality star was later bailed, and will return to the court for sentencing on 31 January.

In a statement released via Essex Police, Ms Harrison reflected on the incident and subsequent trial – dubbing the last two years “absolute hell”.

The former TOWIE star said: “The last two years have been absolute hell and this verdict will allow me to start to put the pain I have suffered in the past and start embracing the future”

She added: “I hope me taking a stand gives other men and women who have fallen victim to revenge porn the courage to seek justice and most importantly, show them that they have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of…”.

“I have felt ashamed, hurt, violated, even broken at times but today I stand here feeling empowered, grateful and a huge sense of unity with all of those who have reached out to support me throughout this ordeal.”
