Some fans of Strictly Come Dancing are less than impressed by this year's line-up of celebrities, with one person branding it "the worst line-up ever".

The full line-up of 15 contestants have now been announced, and it includes Coronation Street's Kym Marsh, actor Will Mellor and singer Fleur East, as well as Eastenders actor James Bye and football manager Tony Adams.

There has been some warring between fans on Twitter about the line-up, with some on the negative side, as one fan wrote: "No wow factor with this lot but thats par for the course and by week 3 everyone will be shouting for a b or c".

Another tweeted: "I'll not bother this year", whilst someone else said: "I feel like the producers sometimes just go to the BBC canteen and force anyone who doesn’t run away fast enough to do strictly."

Some people were quick to fight back over the negative comments, with one writing: "To the people who say they won’t watch because they don’t know the celebrities.

"Genuine question. If a new show was on tv and you didn’t know the actors, would you not watch it??

"I’m finding these remarks pathetic. Don’t watch it the show will survive with you. Bye."

Another posted: "Why do people think they have to know every celebrity that there is? I don’t watch Eastenders so I don’t know who @jimmybye is, but doesn’t mean to say I won’t watch.

"By watching I’ll get to know who he is so just shut up the moaning and watch something else if you’re not happy."

Someone else championed the popular BBC show, with one person tweeting: "I bloody love SCD.

"After two weeks I don’t care what their background is. It’s just a marvellous escape and while we can just afford to have the telly on I’ll enjoy it!!"

The full line-up for this year's contestants includes: Kym Marsh, Will Mellor, Fleur East, Kaye Adams, Ellie Simmonds OBE, Jayde Adams, Richie Anderson, Tyler West, Matt Goss, Ellie Taylor, Molly Rainford, Tony Adams, Hamza Yassin, James Bye and Helen Skelton.

The Countryfile presenter was the 15th and final contestant revealed to be taking part in the show, which kicks off in September.

Speaking about joining the hit BBC show, Helen said: "I’m really excited to get stuck into a fun adventure.

"My family and friends have always loved the show and can’t wait for me to get started."
