Strictly: Bobby performs couple’s choice in tribute to mum
Strictly Come Dancing duo Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell left James Jordan in tears with their latest performance.
The EastEnders star paid tribute to his late mum Jade Goody with a couples’ choice routine to Maxwell’s This Woman’s Work, which earned him 37 out of 40 points.
His efforts were praised by all four judges, with head judge Shirley Ballas in particular left emotional by the dance.
Former Strictly pro James admitted the emotional routine left him teary following the loss of his dad in March 2021.
His father’s death aged 67 came after he was diagnosed with a stage four brain tumour and suffered from strokes.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday, he wrote: “Bobby. F**k me – how good was that!!!
“Not a fan of couples choice but this year being converted when I see stuff like that.
“Forget the VT – this was exceptional. It told a story through dance and I just sat and enjoyed it. This style suited him massively.”
James went on to score Bobby a nine out of 10, adding: “B****y loved it.”

As the pair performed the routine, he also typed: “Makes me miss my dad watching that,” alongside a crying face emoji.
Big Brother star Jade died aged 27 in 2009 after being diagnosed with cervical cancer.
Speaking ahead of his performance on Saturday, Bobby said his mother’s death “changed my life completely”.
He added: “I’d love to spend the day with her, just to see where I get my smile from,” adding: “She is a superhero.”
Bobby’s dad Jeff Brazier also spoke in the VT, telling viewers how the loss made the family closer.
Choking up, he went on to say he was “the lucky one” who got to bring up Bobby and his younger brother Freddie, 19.
“I’m the one who gets to watch them on Strictly, it brings to my joy to my life,” Jeff added.
Just before he took to the dance floor, Bobby added: “This dance isn’t just for my family, this dance is a tribute to my mum.”
