Dianne Buswell, 33, and Tyler West, 26, have been entertaining viewers with their highly energetic performances every Saturday night on Strictly Come Dancing. The professional dancer revealed their routine almost ended in chaos during training, where she cheekily joked her “nose was still intact”.

The dancing duo joined Janette Manrara, 38, on the Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two, as the two opened up about their show-stopping dance routine ahead of week eight.

Dianne and her partner, Tyler, wowed judges with their Viennese Waltz dance to I’ve Been Loving You Too Long’ by Seal on last week’s show.

They scored 29 out of 40 points as the judges praised the pair for their delivery, but head judge Shirley Ballas said that the pair had “too much incorrect footwork”.

For their upcoming performance, the duo are doing the Paso Doble, which Janette described as a “completely different dance” to their previous routine.

She asked: “How’s it going so far?”

Tyler replied: “It’s amazing, I love it,” to which Dianne chimed: “You have loved every second of it”.

The radio DJ explained during rehearsals he had been “completely in the zone” but admittedly going a bit wild during their training.

Janette quizzed: “You have a different name for the Paso Doble. You call it wrestling?”

The Strictly duo broke out in laughter as he admitted training has been “intense” and said he felt “strong”, before moving his arms around chaotically.

“I hope you’re not throwing Dianne on the floor?” Janette posed.

Dianne mused: “We had an incident today, didn’t we?”

To which Tyler commented: “It wasn’t my fault.”

The Australian-born dancer continued: “I thought I broke my nose today. I didn’t. It’s all intact,” as she affectionately rubbed the bridge of her nose.

“It’s there,” she giggled.

During tonight’s show, Dianne defended Strictly’s head judge Shirley Ballas, who came under fire, after incorrectly calling the pro dancer Diana.

Dianne was quick to repeat how she “wasn’t bothered at all” by the blunder on the BBC show.

When giving feedback on Dianne and Tyler’s routine, the judge remarked on Saturday’s live show: “I was very impressed, Diana, when you moved away and then he had to pick you up.”

It didn’t take long for viewers to catch the incorrect name, and many took to social media to slam Shirley for the mistake.

“But you weren’t bothered by it, were you?” Janette asked, to which Dianne shook her head.

“No, not at all!” she replied. “I wasn’t, and do you know what? She actually apologised to me personally as well and said it was an honest mistake.”

Strictly It Takes Two airs weekdays on BBC One at 6.30pm.
