Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice ‘SPLITS from fellow pro Jowita Przystal after they began dating on the show’ – and days after he accidentally confirmed their romance

Giovanni Pernice and Jowita Przystal have reportedly called time on their romance, just three months after reports of the relationship emerged.

The professional Strictly Come Dancing stars were reported to be dating back in December, but have allegedly fallen victim to ‘hectic work schedules’.

Sources are said to have shared that Giovanni being on tour for the coming months has made creating time for one another ‘impossible’, according to The Sun.

It comes just days after the Italian dancer appeared to confirm his romance with Jowita during an interview slip-up, where he referred to them as ‘we’.

Despite attempting to say that he wasn’t going to discuss the romance rumours, Giovanni accidentally referred to himself and Jowita as one by saying: ‘We are not talking about anything’.

Calling it quits: The professional Strictly Come Dancing stars were reported to be dating back in December, but have allegedly fallen victim to ‘hectic work schedules’ 

Sources have allegedly confirmed the split to The Sun, sharing: ‘As time has passed they have found it increasingly difficult to build on their relationship because of their hectic work schedules.

‘Giovanni is on tour for the next five months and trying to make time for each other has proved absolutely impossible.

Continuing that things are civil, they added: ‘Although their relationship has ended Giovanni and Jowita said they will stay good friends. It is just a shame they couldn’t make it work.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Giovanni and Jowita for comment. 

Reports of a relationship between the pair began to circulate in December, with reports that the pair were the ‘worst kept secret’ at the BBC, and were even said to be kissing backstage at Strictly.

While the pair were also leaving supportive comments on each other’s social media posts – before being snapped out together on Valentine’s Day last month.

It even appeared that Giovanni confirmed their romance this week during an interview with RadioTimes.

During the interview, Giovanni was asked about his relationship with his rumoured flame – but while attempting to move the conversation away from that topic – seemingly did the opposite.

He told the interviewer: ‘This was my New Year resolution. We are not talking about anything.’ 

Picking up on the subtleties of his response, the interviewer probed: ‘We, so there’s a we?’ to which he ‘smiles silently’.

Also present in the room was fellow Strictly Star Anton Du Beke – who reportedly ‘howled’ with laughter as his friend got tangled in his own mess.

Referencing Giovanni’s love life, Anton added: ‘I want Gio to find love like I have. He’ll be a wonderful dad. 

‘He’s such a lovely boy. Any girl who ends up with him will be lucky. 

‘And when he has a girlfriend, he’s very good with her. He’s committed, loyal, lovely. Everything you’d want.’

Giovanni has dated a string of stars including Maura Higgins, Ashley Roberts, Georgia May Foote and Jess Wright.
