Jayde Adams has spoken out against cruel trolls who have made remarks about her thighs while she's been competing on the BBC's hit competition show Strictly Come Dancing.

The 37 year old comedian, who recently opened up to OK! on her "emotional journey" on the programme after losing her sister, has been consistently impressing the judges week on week with her professional dance partner Karen Hauer.

However, some viewers have taken to social media to make "silly" comments about her weight, which she has since clapped back at in the best way possible.

Taking to her Instagram, Jayde posted an image of a black background with white text over it, which read: "Them: She shouldnt be on Strictly because she's fat

"Me: If I stay on Strictly, I'll get less fat".

In the caption, she addressed her 115,000 followers directly as she explained: "I’m getting lots of nice people sending me many DM’s worrying about my mental health because stupid people are saying silly things about my weight after my thighs went viral on Saturday night.

"You need to know, I would never allow someone who doesn’t see the idiocy of this logic, to affect my mental health AND if it did creep in, not only do I have Karen but I’m surrounded by people who would either gather round me or if it got REALLY bad, they’d track them and pay them a visit I’m sure." with a crying with laughter emoji.

She went on to point out how if there was anything wrong with her, she wouldn't "be able to dance 6 hours every day and lift Karen".

"Because of how stupid this logic is, I suspect their issues aren’t to do with me at all. But women always get it in the neck don’t they." she continued.

Jayde, who was recently left speechless after getting a standing ovation for her first dance, added: "I’m not ignoring it, I’m addressing it. The more I show resilience to it, the more other people will be able to and that’s useful I think. I love the love though."

She concluded her post with the perfect sign-off as she wrote: "All MY love, from me and my massive thighs." followed by a red heart emoji.

Celebrity friends have since flocked to her comments section as Karen immediately responded with a boxing glove emoji, indicating her support.

Katya Jones said: "We love the whole of you girl!!!!" with a red heart emoji.

While Alison Hammond wrote: "Queen," with a woman wearing a crown emoji.

Darn French shared: "Go mighty thighs!" as Fleur East added: "Yes Jayde!! Keep smashing it!" alongside a celebration hands emoji and a red heart emoji.

And Lucia Cave said: "Amazing human," with a clapping hands emoji.
