Krishnan Guru-Murthy BLASTS Labour MP over election results
Krishnan Guru-Murthy began his news-reading career at the BBC and will return to the channel as a Strictly contestant, but after apparently slating them in a podcast, sources have claimed bosses at the channel may not be happy.
According to The Sun, the Channel 4 star told the Political Party podcast: “I worked for [the BBC] for 10 years but I do relish it when they are in trouble.
“There may be a boss you knew 20 years ago that you might enjoy watching screw up. There are grudges in the media obviously.”
Commenting Krishnan’s quotes, a source told The Sun: “A place on Strictly is one of TV’s golden tickets so it’s far from a good look that one of the cast has been criticising the BBC and even worse when the channel made their name.
“Everyone was excited to get Krishnan on board but this has cast a bit of a shadow. The bosses are not happy.”

Express.co.uk has approached the BBC and Krishnan’s reps for comment.
The 53-year-old first began his journalistic career on the youth current affairs programme Reportage back in 1988, before progressing to Newsnight and finally becoming a BBC News 24 host.
That was his last job with the BBC, as a decade after he first began working there, he moved to Channel 4.
He is now the longest-standing newsreader there, but the digs he made about his former employer may not have been well-received now that he is due to return for Strictly.

Krishnan sounded more positive about his foray into dance, claiming that he is “surprised, delighted and slightly confused” to be making his debut later on this year.
The award-winning journalist clarified that he is taking part “on the basis that you only live once”.
He was the fourth celebrity to be confirmed for the show, after Angela Rippon, Amanda Abbington and Layton Williams were all announced as contestants, and Claudia Winkleman interviewed him about his decision on BBC Radio 2.
Krishnan, who is courageously competing despite having been diagnosed with a heart condition, said that although his female family members were happy, his son was “appalled”.
“I told my wife first obviously and I sort of said: ‘What do you think? Do you think I should do it?’ And she was like: ‘Yes definitely do it,'” Krishnan explained.
“Now’s the time. Just do it – and I have an 18-year-old daughter who thought it was a brilliant idea, [but my] 16-year-old son – I’m really, really sorry, I just have to apologise to him – but yeah, he’s appalled.”
However, the Unreported World star added that “the idea of being able to have pure intravenous joy, because I’m going to be doing the news at the same time, is just irresistible”.
